Dine With Your Beautiful Bébé At West Hollywood Eatery Au Fudge

On the trendy Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, you’ll find the très chic Au Fudge restaurant with a Parisian vibe that is more than meets the eye. Not only are there beautiful indoor and outdoor dining spaces, but they also have a gorgeous bar, a gourmet marketplace and a creative space for kids.

Au Fudge is the brainchild of actress Jessica Biel and her partners, stylist Estee Stanley, children’s book author Kimberly Muller, Barry’s Bootcamp CEO Joey Gonzalez and Jonathan Rollo, the Founder of Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop. I had the privilege of working with Jessica and her family’s Make The Difference Network a few years back on a holiday campaign to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Jessica was a total pleasure to work with, down to earth and you could tell how much she really loves kids. I’m not surprised that Jessica would pour her heart into opening a cool family friendly spot that is enjoying much deserved success. You can also see now that Jessica is a new Mama, how she has handpicked and curated menu items and experiences that your kids will love.

There is nothing pretentious about this place. Au Fudge has a very warm and inviting energy in a beautifully designed haven for foodies of all ages. From the moment you walk in you can tell how much thought and love went in to creating this place. The vibe totally transports you into a quaint café in Paris. Au Fudge is definitely a unique and special place in Los Angeles that has created its own niche. As a parent, I can’t tell you how many times I have been to “kids play-spaces” where the food is downright disgusting. Au Fudge is a refreshing option because they offer both organic gourmet fare and a safe and fun spot for your kids to hang out and have fun.

The creative space is run by Au Fudge “Au Pairs”, a friendly group of counselors who lead the kids in crafts, games and music for a very reasonable charge of $15 for two hours. You can have some adult time at the restaurant or bar, while your kids enjoy supervised creative play before and after meal-time.

Au Fudge hosts a wide variety of classes (French music for toddlers, sushi making for kids and movie nights) and special events on a weekly basis. This Summer, I took Maxwell to their afternoon tea and we had a blast. We sat on their beautiful patio and enjoyed a yummy spread of afternoon delights.

When I informed them that we are vegetarians, they were super accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. They brought out a Crudités course of gourmet cheeses, carrot and celery sticks and toasted French baguettes. We cuddled on the cozy couch and sipped our tea. Then, they brought us a delicious spread of almond butter, honey and banana sandwiches and cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches. The final course was fresh berries and homemade brownie bites. The food was really good and the presentation was delightful. The servers were always checking in to make sure we were happy and enjoying the experience.

Their menu has tons of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options and new twists on old classics like truffle grilled cheese sticks, a Vegan Caesar salad and spaghetti with turkey meatballs.

You don’t have to have kids to enjoy this place. You can come in for a business meeting, a girlfriend’s brunch or a date night and have just as much fun as the beautiful bébés do there. Congrats to Jessica and her partners on such an inventive high-class dining concept. We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to try out more of their favorite menu items. I highly recommend Au Fudge as a must visit LA destination for all of our Goody Life family.
